The Poway Unified School District is seeking applications for the 2023-2024 school year. Please note that this is posting is for an ELIGIBILITY POOL only. As positions become available, candidates may be contacted directly by school sites for interviews.

This is an Eligibility Pool only - once positions become available, school sites may contact candidates directly for interviews Credential requirements: - Multiple Subject Teaching Credential - Child Development Teacher Permit or at least 24 units in Child Development and/or Early Childhood Education. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: All required documents MUST be scanned and attached prior to submitting an application for this position. Incomplete applications will not be considered. 1. Applicants must have an English Learner authorization in order to be considered for the position. 2. Copy of California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential (a status letter is acceptable in lieu of credential as long as the letter indicates that you are on track to receive the credential prior to August 2023). 3. Copy of Child Development Permit - Teacher Level or higher (if applicable). 4. Copy of Transcript (Official transcripts are required upon hiring); if qualifying with CD or ECE units, the transcripts must show the 24 units. 4. Current resume 5. Letter of introduction, addressed to Dr. Kelly Burke, Director, Human Resources. 6. Three (3) letters of reference, signed/dated within the past 12 months. Applicants are encouraged to include at least one (1) letter of reference from a supervising or site administrator. Applicants who have never held a full-time position, are encouraged to have a letter of reference from a site administrator where they completed their student teaching. 7. For phone references, be sure to include the reference's most current cell phone number and email address. 8. All applications must be submitted through EdJoin; no hard copy documents will be accepted. TEACHER INDUCTION: Poway Unified School District offers a teacher induction program to clear the CA preliminary credential to qualified individuals at no cost to the employee.
