Boys & Girls Clubs of Garden Grove is looking to hire an Elementary After School Program Site Supervisor! We have employment opportunities great for those interested in working with children, adolescents and families! Site Supervisors will manage an ASES funded after school program site at a school within Garden Grove Unified School District. Site Supervisors will oversee daily operations, programming, supervise and train staff and volunteers, maintain community partnerships, purchase supplies, organize family nights and other special events. They will also recruit and maintain member enrollment, complete administrative duties, and complete and audit site reports. Serve as a positive role model and establish meaningful relationships that will encourage and motivate youth participation! We are continuing to expand upon our collaboration with The Garden Grove Unified School District to provide after school enrichment and literacy support at 14 school sites in Garden Grove and Santa Ana.
The After School Program Instructor will help us give these kids a fun, positive alternative to an empty home during the after school hours. Instructors are responsible for running their own classroom during homework time (Power Hour), and inventing and executing activities that are creative, interesting, inspiring, and useful.
Like most after school programs, this job is a Monday-Friday position from 2 – 6 p.m. Bilingual capabilities are a plus, but not required (Spanish, Vietnamese, Korean).
We are looking for people to help us instill a passion for sports, the arts, education and career development into the youth that we work with.
Qualifications
* High School Diploma – Preferably some college
* Childcare/Educational experience preferred
* Knowledge of group dynamics and age-appropriate activities for school-age children
* Prove ability to interact with others in a positive manner
* Established skills in communication, both written and verbal
* Valid photo ID
