The Preuss School UC San Diego is located on the East campus of the University of California, San Diego in La Jolla, California. The Preuss School is a charter middle and high school dedicated to providing a rigorous college preparatory education for motivated low-income students who will become the first in their families to graduate from college. Under supervision, The Preuss School UC San Diego Campus Supervision Aide will patrol the campus and monitor the parking lots during school hours enforcing parking restrictions. Will provide general supervision of students outside of class and during a variety of student activities during school hours, including some nights and week-ends. As directed by the school Vice Principal/Principal, will intervene appropriately in situations likely to result in disruption. Assist students in resolving conflicts in a positive and constructive manner through the use of conflict resolution strategies. Screen persons entering school grounds and report presence of unauthorized persons. Provide efficient and effective oversight of UC San Diego Student Supervision Aides as needed. Adjust work schedule as needed to accommodate assignment to a variety of student activities. * Regular working hours are Mon-Fri 9:30 am to 6:00 pm. Must be able to work various weekday and weekend hours (including nights) to accommodate a variety of student activities.
