THE POSITION: The Project Director III, Learning Acceleration, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and Academic Supports Unit, will provide oversight, monitoring, and implementation of the California Collaborative for Learning Acceleration (CCLA) and Special Education Workforce Investment Grant Program: Special Education (SE-EWIG) Grants. The Project Director III will work with Local Educational Agencies (LEAs) and schools to build the capacity of TK-12th grade teachers, administrators, instructional coaches, and paraeducators in supporting all students to become expert learners and to accelerate students' social, emotional, and academic learning in mathematics, literacy, and language development through equitable, inclusive, evidence-based strategies intentionally integrated system-wide. The Project Director lll will be responsible for the direct oversight of the Coordinators of Learning Acceleration for both ELA/ELD and Mathematics along with the two Coordinators to support the SE-EWIG-Related Professional Development in the area of Universal Design for Learning UDL. The Project Director lll will work directly with Santa Clara COE (CCLA) and Placer COE (SE-EWIG), conduct budget oversight, market and outreach to LEAs to determine schools that will participate in the projects, support the creation of the professional learning, schedule and provide training and technical assistance to partner districts, along with capturing data to assist with program evaluation.
Requirements / Qualifications
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Any combination of education and experience that would be likely to provide the required knowledge and abilities would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Experience: Five or more years of comprehensive, directly related and progressive educational administrative experiences, with at least three years in public school setting as a site level principal. Other administrative experience may include district and/or county-level administrative positions in K-12 education. Professional development experience is required. Teaching experience with diverse populations is desirable. Education: A Master’s degree or higher in education from an institution of higher learning accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE (Please provide a copy of each credential document as it appears on the California Teaching Credential website with the document number on it.): • Possess and maintain a valid California teaching credential and with full English Learner authorization (CLAD, BCLAD or equivalent). • Possess and maintain a valid Administrative credential.
