About the Employer

Uncommon Good is a nonprofit organization that operates education, urban farming, health and environmental programs for low-income families. Its education program, Connect to College, is a college access program that provides disadvantaged students in 4th – 12th grade with mentors, academic tutors, college preparation, and enrichment opportunities. Our urban farm program, CAUSA, provides healthy food for families as well as health/wellness and environmental education. Our MED program supports young doctors who serve in disadvantaged communities and also functions as a medical career pipeline for Connect to College students.

Job Summary

Job Summary

This is a full-time, hybrid position in our dyslexia services program through which we provide screenings for dyslexia, advocacy for students and parents, structured literacy tutoring, and capacity-building support to school districts. The Director of Dyslexia Services will receive training from and work under the supervision of our Literacy Director.

Requirements / Qualifications

Credential Requirements
  • A four-year college degree (B.A. or B.S.)
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in teaching or educational therapy or education advocacy
