Bethany Christian School has served families of all religious denominations in the beautiful Conejo Valley since 1974. We are blessed to be a direct ministry of Bethany Bible Church on their spacious campus approximately 30 minutes from Malibu, California. We are proud of our 300+ students enrolled in preschool through 8th grade. Our students matriculate to local private and public schools after promoting to high school. Our team of 50 faculty and staff love to collaborate and support one another beginning with their strong Christian faith. Job Summary

PE Teacher: - 15-25 hours/week. Hourly pay. - Seeks to role model in attitude, speech, and actions a consistent daily walk with Jesus Christ - Accepts the "Bethany Christian School Statement of Faith" - Teach PE multiple times a week to 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students in separate classes - Ensure a safe environment for all students - Motivate students to be physically active and encourage physical fitness - Instruct students in various sports and how physical activity benefits physical and overall health - Assess students with physical fitness testing 2x a year - Work weekly with the middle school team of teachers as well as the elementary PE teacher - Manage the classroom environment outdoors and indoors utilizing a variety of techniques - The ideal candidate would be energetic, creative, organized, and a team player. - Attend weekly staff meetings and In-Service programs throughout the year BCS Athletic Director: - Organize 12 sports teams for 3 sports seasons - Select and onboard coaches with direction from school administration - Collaborate with other local athletic directors to schedule games - Communicate with parents, coaches, teachers, and students regarding athletic matters
