VISTA Charter Middle School is looking to add experienced, highly motivated, passionate, caring, knowledgeable and effective teachers to its staff for the school year 2011-2012. If you have these qualities, we invite you to apply.

VISTA's students are mostly Latino, Title I, highly motivated and capable English Language Learners. Many lack the working habits they need to fulfill their great potential. At VISTA, all students are viewed as capable and potential learners.

We are looking for teachers who:

            - Work well with adolescents;

            - Are organized and consistent;

            -Are professionals and embody the California Standards for the Teaching Profession

            - Have effective classroom management;

            - Know their content (California State Standards)

            - Know how to teach content through, among other methods, differentiated instruction and interactive, project-based learning that are culturally and developmentally meaningful to their students;

            - CLAD and SDAIE are required.

At VISTA, we believe that classroom environment, reflective of student learning, and management, are very important in establishing a safe learning environment where students can thrive.

We are looking for teachers who are interesting as you may teach electives that tie the California standards to creative endeavors.

This position is to teach Social Studies to 7th and/or 8th grade students. Single Subject  Credential is required.
