Requirements / Qualifications

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Under the direction of the Principal, the job of the Math Teacher is done for the purpose(s) of providing a variety of individual and group instruction to students enrolled in the Leadership Military Academy to ensure appropriate instruction as determined by California State Standards. The incumbent is responsible for developing and employing strategies to build honor, pride, self-discipline, and leadership in youth through positive behavior management. The following documents are required upon hire: Valid CA Driver's License, Fingerprint Clearance, TB Clearance, Bachelors Degree. REQUIRED ATTACHMENTS/DOCUMENTS A complete application must meet the criteria listed below and must have the following documentation attached prior to the position closing date/time: •Two letters of reference/recommendation (Must be dated within the last 2 years of the position closing date) •Letter of introduction (Must specifically reference the position for which you have applied) •Current Resume •A valid California Mild/Moderate or equivalent Special Education credential. English Learner authorization is also required •Application must be filled out completely

EXPERIENCE: NCLB compliant at the secondary level in Math or the ability to become compliant within one year of employment EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university is required. Master’s degree desired. CERTIFICATES/CREDENTIALS/LICENSES: • Valid California single subject credential with a Math authorization • EL certification such as CLAD, BCLAD, or SDAIE You must provide copies of permit/credential as required for position or provide evidence of qualifying for required permit/credential with your application materials to qualify for the position.
