South Sutter Charter School (SSCS) is a WASC accredited charter school managed by Innovative Education Management (IEM). Job Summary
Job Summary
Working remotely, the Reading Specialist will be the childhood literacy content area expert for South Sutter, Ocean Grove, and Sky Mountain Charter Schools. The Reading Specialist works toward raising the standardized test scores for all students through a variety of methods and supports the acquisition of reading skills in our individualized learning model of education. The Reading Specialist is highly organized and detail oriented, possesses excellent interpersonal skills, participates in group responsibilities, is proficient in the use of technology, and promotes school policies. Creativity and productivity are encouraged. The incumbent is expected to remain calm under pressure, work cooperatively with team members and others to provide the highest level of service possible and work in accordance with the Guiding Principles of the organization.
Requirements / Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor’s degree. Credentials/Certifications: Current California credential required. Reading Certificate (added Authorization) or Reading Language Arts Specialist Credential required. Experience: Two (2) years of teaching experience.
