Job Summary

BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Director of Student Services, the Social Worker will provide direct and indirect social work services to students experiencing social, emotional, and/or behavioral challenges that impact their performance in school, and facilitate communication among school, home, and community providers.

Requirements / Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EXPERIENCE: 2-3 years of successful social work or counseling experience is desired. Experience working in a public school district is preferred. . EDUCATION: Master’s Degree in Social Work and California Pupil Personnel Services Credential (PPS) authorizing service as a School Social Worker. EQUIVALENCY: A combination of education, training, and/or job experience necessary to perform the essential functions of the job. REQUIRED TESTING: Pre-employment Proficiency Test may be required. LICENSURES: Valid California Driver’s License. CLEARANCES: Meet employment requirements as applicable with state, federal, and local laws, and Board Policy
