Job Summary

The Governing Board of Gridley Unified School District invites highly qualified candidates with strong leadership skills to apply for the combination position of Assistant Principal/District Teacher-on-Special-Assignment (TOSA) position at Wilson Elementary School.

Requirements / Qualifications

The District seeks an Assistant Principal / TOSA who possesses the following: • Knowledge of development and administrative principles, philosophies, and practices of public K-12 school level educational systems, specifically for grades 2-5; • Ability to plan and direct operational functions of an elementary school site; • Demonstrated ability to build team cohesiveness and rapport; • Articulate communicator who is able to communicate effectively and tactfully in both oral and written forms; • A commitment to serve as an advocate for all students and the parent community; • A strong sense of personal and professional ethics, honesty, integrity and fairness; • Outstanding organizational, managerial, communication and listening skills; • Strong interpersonal skills as well as the ability to build a positive school climate where students, parents and staff have a voice in the development of the programs, services and educational opportunities offered. Qualifications: Valid California Teaching Credential with English Learner Authorization Valid California School Administrative Credential Five (5) years of teaching experience. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university. Masters Degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Bilingual, Spanish-speaking candidates are encouraged to apply

The annual starting salary will range is as follows for each: Administrative Salary Schedule: Placement on Column A, initial placement from $106,019—$134,885 (range $106,019—$154,785), prorated to 0.51 FTE, based upon the experience and qualifications of the candidate. Certificated Salary Schedule (193 Days): Placement based on verified credentialed experience and post-baccalaureate semester units. Range is from $52,676—$119,391, prorated to 0.49 FTE. Master’s Degree from an accredited institution in a field related to K-12 education shall be paid an annual stipend of $1100 for a full year of service. Health and Welfare Seven (7) composite health plans, four (4) composite dental plans and four composite (4) vision plans to choose from. Life insurance benefits for $50,000 paid by District. District contribution to health and welfare benefits is $9,240 annually. Work Year: Contracted for 199 days
