Tree of Life Charter School is seeking an After School Care Provider for the 2024-25 school year who will plan and implement enrichment activities, provide supervision, and treat students with dignity and respect, helping them to meet their needs. After school activities might include games, arts and crafts, reading stories, help with schoolwork or projects, gardening, music, clubs, maker space, technology, etc. This person needs some leadership qualities in order to direct children and speak to parents/guardians when they pick up their children. This job is perfect for someone who would like to take college classes during the day!

Tree of Life Charter School is seeking an After School Care Provider for the 2018-19 school year who will direct students in appropriate activities after school, provide supervision, and treat students with dignity and respect, helping them to meet their needs. After school activities might include games, arts and crafts, reading stories, help with school work or projects, gardening, music, clubs, maker space, technology, etc.

At the applicant's option, this position may be combined with an Instructional Assistant position to become a full time position, which would include full medical, dental, and vision benefits, as well as STRS or PERS pension plans. Applicants interested in this option should also apply for an Instructional Assistant position.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; two years college preferred

TB test and fingerprint clearance (school provides fingerprint clearance forms)

Current First Aid and CPR certification

Previous experience working with children

Submission of necessary documents to complete personnel file, including 3 references, copy of diplomas, college transcripts if applicable

 

Hours:

Regular schedule for Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays from 3 to 5:45 PM.

Regular schedule for Wednesdays and 7 conference days from 1:15-5:45 PM.

4 conference days from 2:15 to 5:45 PM.

 

Wages begin at $13 to $17 per hour DOE.  Full time positions include PERS or STRS, full medical, dental, and vision benefits. All positions include sick, personal, and vacation days pro-rated to the hours of the position.

 

Tree of Life was founded in 2000 by supportive families in Ukiah in beautiful Mendocino County, one hour’s drive north of Santa Rosa, who wanted a Montessori elementary program for their children. The facility is located on the Redwood Empire Fairgrounds and has five classrooms. The parents and families of the school are strongly involved in volunteer activities and fundraising for the school. Tree of Life staff members come from a variety of backgrounds, share many interests and talents, and are highly supportive of each other. The campus is a National Green School that recycles, gardens, and uses cleaning products that are friendly to the environment. Peace education and non-violent communication and conflict resolution strategies are an important part of our program.
