Job Summary

BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Director II, Human Resources: oversee and perform a variety of specialized, technical, and analytical duties to assure compliance with State and federal laws, Education Code, Administrative Code, and Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) policies related to credentialing and fingerprinting for all SCOE and district certificated personnel. Coordinate credential support services, train and provide work direction and guidance to assigned personnel. Work with induction program to apply for clear credentials and extensions; provide warrant release forms for SCOE External Payroll department for release of pay warrants that are held. Coordinate the yearly auditing of certificated employees for the purpose of William's legislation d assignment monitoring. Evaluate transcripts and work experience; answer technical and difficult questions requiring in-depth knowledge of regulations pertaining to credentialing; conduct on-site audits of districts to assure the proper and legal assignment of certificated staff; advise and assist districts miss-assignment of certificated staff; advise and assist applicants in applying for credentials. Coordinate, plan and host the Teacher Recruitment Fair and Education Professional Day and Substitute Recruitment Fair.

Ed-Join Application EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and three years of increasingly responsible human resources generalist experience. Course work in business administration, human resources or other related field is desirable. Experience working in a school district or County Office human resources environment is also desirable. ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS: The following documents are not required at the time of application but will be required of the selected applicant prior to employment: -DOJ Fingerprint clearance -TB Test clearance -Pre-Employment Drug screen
