Elementary Teacher Job Requirements ? Completed degree (BA or BS) required ? Multiple Subject California Teaching Credential (preferred, not required) ? College Transcripts Responsibilities As a classroom teacher, you will: ? Be responsible for planning, implementing, and assessing an academic program that follows the Diocesan, California Common Core, and school standards ? Be assigned homeroom responsibilities (attendance, prayer, etc.) ? Administer STAR testing throughout the school year, while using that data to promote student growth ? Serve as a full-time teacher in a self-contained classroom ? Be knowledgeable and supportive of a faith-filled Catholic environment ? Implement strong classroom management skills that are inclusive and restorative ? Provide superior instruction for all students, including those with diverse learning needs ? Be able to effectively communicate with parents ? With the help of the Targeted Learning team, be able to implement necessary accommodations for students ? Integrate technology, and focus on student growth ? Be open to participating in various school committees outside of the classroom responsibilities ? Be able to work as a team and distribute duties with the instructional aide in the classroom ? Participate in curricular and extracurricular school programs, assessment and development activities, student supervision, and meetings ? Perform related duties as assigned Benefits ?
