Precious Time Christian Preschool operates under the supervision of Precious Time Board of Directors and St. Paul United Methodist Church. The Preschool Director reports to the preschool's Board of Directors. The Preschool's mission is to nurture the total child physically, socially, emotionally, intellectually and spiritually in a loving Christian environment.
Job Summary
Job Summary
Manage, organize and coordinate Precious Time's operational, legal requirements, resources and procedures to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency that reflect Christian values and beliefs. Responsible for the operation of the Preschool for compliance with regulations; for communication with licensing agency (including acknowledging receipt of deficiency notices, correcting deficiencies that constitute and immediate threat to the student's health and safety). Organize and manage all aspects of the program of the preschool - education, activities, health care and contact with parents, health and safety of children and staff, scheduling staff and maintenance of the facility. Recommend number and type of staff needed as well as employ, supervise, provide training and evaluate staff.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Active participant of a Christian church and an established record of Christian maturity.
- Completed twelve (12) semester units or equivalent quarter units covering Child Development, Child, Family and Community, Preschool curriculum.
- Completed three (3) semester units or equivalent quarter units in Administration or Staff Relations.
- Minimum four (4) years preschool teaching experience or AA in Child Development or ECE and 1 year preschool experience or a Child Development Site Supervisor permit or a Program Director permit issued by the California Commission on Teaching Credentialing Computer proficiency
- Good understanding of administrative management and related functions
- Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
- Adhere to highest standards of fairness and business ethics in the performance of duties and responsibilities
