Under the supervision of the Assistant Principal of Special Services, the Speech-Language Pathologist performs a variety of professional activities involved in the assessment of communicative disorders in students, including speech, receptive language, expressive language, functional communication, and social/pragmatic skills; serves as the chief clinician for assessing, planning, and providing language and speech services developed as part of an IEP using evidence-based assessment and treatment techniques to properly assess and develop interventions to remediate student speech-language needs; plans and leads professional development and serves as a general resource for administration, teachers, classified staff, parents, and students; may supervise intern candidates.
