Desert Chapel Christian School is a WASC accredited school with grades ranging from transitional kindergarten through twelfth grade. Located in the city of Palm Springs, California, students attending DCCS come from all across the Coachella Valley. DCCS offers a Christian education. The vision of the school is that students will acquire wisdom, knowledge and a Biblical worldview as evidenced by a lifestyle of character, learning, leadership, service, stewardship, and worship. Requirements / Qualifications
Applicants will have a passion for teaching children. The elementary teaching position is for a contained classroom. Applicants will meet the following criteria: * College degree BA or BS, preferably in the field of education. * Devoted follower of Christ (born-again believer) who loves to work with kids. * Experience working in the classroom with elementary students. * Well-defined classroom management techniques. * Demonstrated methods of keeping students engaged in the learning process. * Adept at designing and implementing lesson plans that are characterized by thoughtful planning, innovation, and differentiation. * Excellent communication skills - written and verbal. * Cooperative (team player) with administration and other staff members. * Eager to learn new and creative ways to enhance teaching ability and effectiveness. * Willingness to faithfully attend Desert Chapel Church, and agree with the fundamental beliefs, policies, and Statement of Faith.
