Job Summary
An Arts, Media, and Entertainment CTE credential may be available to qualified applicants. Bilingual Spanish preferred Essential Duties: Instruct K-6 students in standards-based, stand-alone visual and performing arts lessons. Collaborate with classroom teachers, fellow VAPA instructors, and administration. Provide feedback and evaluation of student work/performance/engagement as needed. Prepare students to participate in school and district-wide arts showcases and/or performances All teachers are eligible for a Master's stipend of $1,700 and Ph.D. stipend of $3,000. National board certification qualifies teachers for an additional stipend of $1,700. We may accept all years of applicable service towards placement on the salary schedule. Medical, Dental and Vision Benefits at PCS cover the employee and their immediate family at a composite rate. The monthly employee contribution is the same, regardless of spouse and number of dependents. Valid California single or multiple subject teaching credential that authorizes the holder to teach Visual and/or Performing Arts (i.e. music, dance,theater arts, or visual art) with an English learner authorization.

Initial contract status will be Temporary. Offer of employment is contingent upon fingerprint clearance. There is a fee required by the Department of Justice, payable by the applicant, to process fingerprint clearance.
