The Denair Unified School District is searching for a dynamic and creative principal for Denair Charter Academy (DCA), a well-established independent study and homeschool program. DCA is a K-12 charter school working in concert with the other schools in the district. The successful candidate will be a strong collaborative leader who will work with staff and families to provide opportunities for students to grow and thrive in a supportive environment. The DCA Principal will also serve as a Special Education Coordinator, working with the Director of Special education to support special education services districtwide. DCA provides a viable educational option for families who choose to homeschool their children in grades K-8 and provides a safe and positive learning environment for students in grades 9-12 to complete high school via an independent study program. While students typically attend school or meet with their teachers once per week, a wide variety of on-site classes are available to support students and enrich their educational experience. DUSD is a small, rural district, just east of Turlock, in the California Central Valley. The district serves approximately 1300 PK-12 students and offers a variety of innovative programs for students and families. *Selected Candidate must: -Provide T.B. clearance documentation -Obtain DOJ Fingerprint clearance through our district (candidate to incur cost of fingerprinting of fee $57.00) Attached credential copy must include DETAILED credential information including the document number, authorization code, authorization description, issue date and expiration date. Such copies can be obtained using the link provided to the Commission on Teacher Credentialing website through the “Secured Search” option. “SUITABLE FOR FRAMING” VERSIONS AND EXPIRED COPIES OF YOUR CREDENTIAL WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
