The Torrance Unified School District consists of 17 elementary, 8 middle, 4 high schools, 1 continuation, and 1 alternative high school. The District also has 3 adult school campuses. Torrance Unified was established in 1947 and unified in 1948, and is nestled in the heart of the South Bay, in the southwestern part of Los Angeles County. Our District is bordered by the Palos Verdes Peninsula on the south, the beach cities - Redondo, Hermosa, and Manhattan Beach - to the west, and the cities of Lawndale and Hawthorne to the north. The District serves the entire City of Torrance and is governed by five school board members from five trustee areas. FILING DATE: The District Clerical Battery Level I examination application and supplemental form must be submitted to the Personnel Commission Office prior to May 5, 2023, 4:30 PM. The Personnel Commission has implemented a testing program designed to streamline the testing process for selected clerical classifications. Candidates interested in applying for future clerical vacancies must pass the designated clerical battery examination. Applications for the clerical battery examination will typically be accepted in the Fall and Spring of each year. The Clerical Battery Level I examination is tentatively scheduled for the weeks of May 8-19, 2023. Applicants will be notified by US mail or email. EXAMINATION INFORMATION: The Clerical Battery Level I examination allows you to apply your passing score to multiple classifications. These scores may be applied toward meeting the minimum rating in the selection process to qualify for participation in the next succeeding part.
