Job Summary
Job Summary
Under the direction of the Principal/Superintendent of Delta Charter School, the Student Support Specialist provides support for students who may be struggling with their academic, emotional, social, or physical well-being. The SSS is responsible for meeting with students to investigate barriers to their well-being and provide solutions and resources to assist students in overcoming these barriers. The SSS will participate on Delta’s Care Team, and may work with staff and parents to support students in need, including referring a student for outside services and/or counseling with Delta’s social-emotional counselor.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Social Work or Psychology
- Experience working with middle and/or high school students in a school setting
- Familiarity with local resources that support students and families
- Proficiency in Google Apps, including Drive and Sheets
- Spanish-speaking preferred, but not required
