Requirements / Qualifications

Under the direction of the Charter SELPA Executive Director, this position is responsible for supporting Charter School Local Education Agencies (LEA) administrators and educators across the state in developing and implementing quality special education programs. The Program Coordinator for Alternative Dispute Prevention (ADR) will be responsible for collaborating with the SELPA Coordinator team and program specialists in supporting LEAs in their capacity to monitor and improve educational systems that provide equitable and inclusive learning opportunities for students with disabilities specific to alternative dispute prevention. This position requires a home office unless you live within the vicinity of EDCOE in Placerville. Candidates may live anywhere in the state. Frequent travel throughout California is required.

Qualifications: Any combination of education and experience would likely provide the requisite knowledge and abilities. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Education: - Master’s Degree preferred from an accredited college or university with an emphasis in special education or closely related field - Valid California Pupil Personnel Services Credential, Education Specialist Credential, or other Special Education related Credential Required - Preliminary Administrative Services Credential or Cleared Administrative Services Credential Required Experience: - Minimum five (5) years’ experience in Special Education with preferred knowledge of Alternative Dispute Prevention Activities and Implementation.
