Requirements / Qualifications
If you are NOT currently or never have been a Paraprofessional for VUSD, you MUST ATTACH proof of one of the following: Paraprofessional Certificate from a verifiable agency OR proof of a passing score on the district's Paraprofessional Exam
We schedule the Paraprofessional Exams by appointment only Monday/Friday 9/11am and Wednesday’s 1/2/3pm here at the District Office. The exam is one hour in length, paper/pencil, and the content is K-12 Education (reading, grammar, spelling, punctuation, basic math, etc.) A score of 70% or higher is passing and we will provide you with a PDF certificate via email by the end of the day to attach to your Edjoin profile and application. Please note: we accept Paraprofessional Certificates or passing scores on exams from other verifiable agencies and they do not expire. However, we do not accept online exams. Please email Megan Lewis and Sharon Lee to schedule and reply all when communicating.
