However, through the enduring relationships that we build with our students at PacBay, we nourish our students with care, friendships, and learning opportunities, so that they can build the skills to navigate lives well with resilience, creativity, and optimism. Pacific Bay Christian School, or PacBay, boasts an innovative learning approach that balances an ambitious pursuit of excellence with a joyful learning environment where students love learning, take ownership of their school, and support one another. Our students get to experience a small college experience with exceptional teachers and mentors, large academic offerings, and robust extracurricular and athletic opportunities. Some facts We are diverse - over 21% of our students self-identified as mixed race; 63% are students of color: 42% AAPI; 37% white; 9% Black; 12% Latino; 30% of our high school students are future first generation college students. We are inclusive and faithfully grounded under a large banner of Christ-centered approaches, which serves as the basis for our moral and ethical reasoning. We are ecumenical - our families are from many Christian traditions (mainline protestants, Catholics, Eastern Orthodox, Anglicans, Evangelicals, etc.); we also welcome and have many families with other faith traditions, and with no faith traditions. We educate all from the Christian foundation that likens the broad and essentials of Mere Christianity (C.S. Lewis). We are well-rounded with an emphasis on the outdoors (small animal center on campus, outdoor ed with surfing, kayaking, archery, skateboarding, nature arts and photography, etc.). We love and care for our families. Over 90% of our parents are satisfied or very satisfied with the school.
