Job Summary
Under the direction of a Principal, provide library services relating to the selection, circulation, maintenance and distribution of books, instructional materials, audio-visual materials and equipment; assist students and teachers in the use of library media resources
Requirements / Qualifications
Education and Experience: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school supplemented by college-level course work in library science or a related field and two years’ experience working in a library environment. Licenses and Other Requirements: Valid California driver’s license Environment: • Library environment • Constant interruptions • Library environment Physical Demands: • Seeing to read various materials. • Hearing and speaking to exchange information. • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard • Bending at the waist, kneeling or crouching and reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally to retrieve books. • Pushing and pulling book carts. Hazards: • Lifting
