Credential Requirements: Need Early Education Units or Child Development Permit As a classroom teacher with the Partnership for LA Schools network, you will be an employee of the LA Unified School District who has access to additional supports and resources in order to meet your students' needs. The Partnership for LA Schools is offering 100 hours of paid time ($5,000) for credentialed teachers coming to this school for the 2023-24 school year. This allows you to be paid for all of the time you are already putting into preparing for the new year. In addition, LA Unified is offering credentialed teachers an additional $5,000 hiring stipend paid over your first three years teaching at a high- or highest-need school in the district! ($2,000 in the first year, $1,500 in the second year, and $1,500 in the third year) LA Unified also offers support from a mentor and a professional development series along with the hiring stipend. Please note, applicants who are not yet teaching in LAUSD must also complete LAUSD's online application at www.teachinla.com.
Requirements / Qualifications
Candidates must hold a multiple subject teaching credential and have at minimum 12 semester units of Transitional Kindergarten/Child Development coursework. Once candidates apply to LAUSD and submit documents, the District will request a coursework evaluation to determine eligibility.
