Reports To: Chief of Staff Position Type: Full-Time, Exempt Bentley School is a K-12 co-educational, independent day school located on two campuses in Oakland (K-8) and Lafayette (9-12), California. General Responsibilities: The School Health Coordinator position provides comprehensive health management for the assessment, maintenance, and improvement of health services and health education for the Bentley students and staff. Work Schedule: This is a twelve (12) month position. Individuals will be expected to be present on campus during regularly scheduled work hours. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Health Coordinator ? Assess and evaluate the health status of students ? Ensure the school is following any state-mandated screenings and follow-ups for students ? Serve as liaison to interpret the health assessment to parents, faculty, administrators, and other professionals ? Provide assessment of students with physical injuries ? Infectious Disease/Communicable Illness Outbreak: Prevention, Monitoring, Management ? Ensure the education/prevention of the health and safety for faculty, staff, and families ? Create strategies to prevent and reduce the spread of infectious diseases on campus ? Help develop a communications plan to ensure that families and staff receive timely and accurate information regarding disease prevention and infection control strategies ? Oversee existing systems to detect possible outbreaks by monitoring and tracking illness rates on campus ? Develop response protocols for employees and/or students with positive diagnoses ? Work in conjunction with facilities and CFO/COO on procedures of disinfection, cleaning, and proper personal prot
