About the Employer
JCS was established in November 1999 (under a management organization) as a K-12 non-classroom based charter school. In 2000, the School, as a 501(c)(3) organization, incrementally began taking ownership of curriculum, instruction and assessment; finance, facilities, and business management; and organization, governance, and administration becoming a fully independent, direct funded, incorporated charter school by the 2002-2003 school year. From inception, the School was designed to meet the needs of students under served by traditional delivery systems of education or for families with a strong desire to home school. The School received an initial charter for two years and has had three additional five-year renewals.

Job Summary
The Director of Operations performs administrative and supervisory work in the non-academic operations of the network. This includes Safety and Risk Management, Facilities, Systems Management, Enrollment and Student Information, Policy Development and Legal and Compliance. This position works to ensure the operational success of the organization, ensure contractual and regulatory requirements are met, and that resources are managed effectively. This position functions as a member of the Cabinet Team and participates in the formulation and implementation of School policies
Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Operations or related field; Or Administrative Services Credential. Minimum of five (5) years related professional experience; job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility. Additional formal training and/or education related to Business Administration/Operations and Charter School experience, preferred.
