Job Summary
The Human Resource Services Title IX Coordinator’s objective is to manage, coordinate, train, advise, and monitor all district-wide Title IX Compliance procedures including, but not limited to, Title IX, Code of Federal and California Regulations, California Educational Code, Uniform Complaint Procedures (UCP), anti-discrimination legislation, and state laws, and formal Personnel Complaints, and informal complaints resolution, and other relevant statutes and regulations. The Title IX Coordinator within Human Resource Service is responsible for examining and investigating complex and highly sensitive administrative personnel documentations and investigations. Upon a complaint being filed, conducts case management, case reporting, prompt and thorough investigations, which includes identifying/interviewing witnesses, gathering relevant documentation ensuring all cases are created, tracked, processed and followed through completion. The Title IX Coordinator serves a neutral party through all investigations and shall render unbiased reports; and performs related work as required. Serves as district respondent to CDE and OCR for issues regarding Title IX, sexual discrimination and harassment. They will need to be compliant with the Nations administrative guidelines and policies as related to misgendering, pronouns, fluidity, and more.
Requirements / Qualifications
TRAINING, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to Bachelor’s degree and an advanced degree in education, public policy, human resource services, social work, public administration, or related field is strongly preferred. At least three years of experience planning and conducting independent, complex, and sensitive investigations regarding employment matters, student conduct, unlawful discrimination, and/or sexual and gender-based misconduct. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid California driver’s license; provide personal automobile and proof of insurance. As well as obtaining the mandated appropriate licenses and certifications as required to be a Title IX Coordinator.
