QUALIFICATIONS • Previous coaching experience in Varsity Water Polo at the high school level or above preferred. • Participation in Water Polo at high school level or above preferred. • Ability to successfully manage a Water Polo program within the established philosophy of the athletic department, school, district, and C.I.F. • Knowledge of C.I.F. Blue Book Constitution and By-Laws. • Demonstrate the ability to provide leadership and organization for all levels of the high school Water Polo program. • Knowledge and experience in regard to Water Polo coaching technique and evidence of the ability to convey effectively those techniques to young student athletes. • Ability to demonstrate leadership for a successful Water Polo program. • Possess and will provide a valid First Aid/CPR Certificate from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association. CUSD does not accept online CPR/First Aid Training/Certificates. • Possess and will provide a valid completion certificate of NFHS/Coaching Certification Class http://www.nfhslearn.com (Concussion in Sports). • Possess and will provide a valid completion certificate of NFHS/Coaching Certification Class http://www.nfhslearn.com (Sudden Cardiac Arrest). • Possess and will provide a valid completion certificate of NFHS/Coaching Certification Class http://www.nfhslearn.com (Fundamentals of Coaching). • Possess and will provide a valid completion certificate of NFHS/Coaching Certification Class http://www.nfhslearn.com (Heat Illness Prevention). • Possess and will provide a copy of a current Mantoux, PPD or TST TB test results. RESPONSIBILITIES • Assist in acting as a liaison between the school and the community to promote a positive image for the program. • Assist in organization and scheduling of practices and games for all levels. • Assist in organization of summer camps(s) and off-season program. • Assist in fundraising. • Implementation of the "Pursuing Victory with Honor" component within the Water Polo program. • Start Date: ASAP
