Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Chief Academic Officer, the Director of Elementary Education is responsible for the administration, coordination and supervision of elementary education and all elementary programs. Responsibilities include oversight of programs for students in grades TK-6 including: Transitional Kindergarten, Dual Immersion, TK-6 Independent Study, TK-6 English Learner Services, TK-6 MTSS Interventions/PBIS, Elementary PE program, Library Services, Elementary Report Cards, and Coach for Elementary Principals.

Education and Experience: 1. A minimum of three years of successful classroom teaching experience, five years preferred 2. A minimum of three years of successful site-level administrative experience, required 3. Demonstrated achievement as an educational leader with a broad knowledge base in student attendance and discipline and school safety. 4. California Administrative Service Credential, required 5. Master’s Degree, required; doctoral degree, preferred 6. Bilingual ability, preferred, but not required District paid medical, dental, vision, and prescription plans are provided for employees and dependents, up to a $14,800 district contribution.
