**CATEGORICALLY FUNDED** 7 hours per day; 138 work days; 9 months (Some Mondays off & extended school breaks) Salary placement at an hourly rate ($40.34 per hour - $ 81.94 per hour) of the Teacher's Salary Schedule A (Salary placement based on official transcripts and verification of experience). BCLAD Stipend for eligible candidates Up to 10 years max service credit for new hires Definition: Under the general supervision of the site administrator, the Interventionist serves as specialized classroom teacher for students in need of academic intervention. Emphasis will be placed on addressing students’ academic needs in English Language Arts and Mathematics. Essential Duties: The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that might be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment to the position. • Teach academic intervention for students identified through academics assessment results. • Establish and maintain standards of student behavior required to achieve effective participation in all activities. • Develop and use core, supplemental and intervention instructional materials to address student developmental levels using evidence-based strategic. • Create an effective environment for learning through functional and attractive displays, such as bulletin boards, interest centers, etc. • Maintain professional competence through in-service education activities provided by the District and or professional growth development. • Perform related duties as assigned by the administrator, to assist in the function of the school.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Abilities: • Multiple Subject Credential with BCLAD, CLAD, or English Learner authorization • Bachelor’s degree or above including courses to meet credential requirements required • One year of successful experience at K-8 level implementing the California Content Standards is required • Flexibility and open mindedness about curriculum organization and approaches to teaching • Applicant must meet all CBEST and NCLB requirements

Appointment to this position predicated upon submitting a negative TB result. In addition, the selected candidate must complete the state fingerprinting requirements and the district must receive a certificate of clearance by the California Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation. Within three days of employment, all new employees shall show appropriate documents, which certify that they are legally eligible to work in the United States. Physical, Mental, and Environmental Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Appearance, grooming and personality which establish a desirable example for parents, staff and students. Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to consistently sit for periods of time; talk or hear, in person and by telephone; use of hands and fingers to touch, feel or operate standard office equipment including technology, and reach with hands and arms; walking level surface, stand, bend and stoop; lifting objects 1-25 pounds; carry/push 1-25 pounds; specific vision abilities required include close vision to read and enter data into a computer; ability to distinguish sounds in transmission, speaking.
