Applications are currently being accepted for the Child Development Center Director. Tentative schedule is Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week. Schedule may be adjusted depending on department need.

Desired Qualifications:
· Demonstrated cultural competency, sensitivity to, and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students and staff.
· Knowledge of current concepts used in Early Childhood Education.
· Knowledge of general needs and behavior of students of various ethnic, racial, and cultural backgrounds.
· Knowledge of health, safety, and nutrition requirements of pre-school children.
· Knowledge of safety regulations in the field of child development.
· Licensing requirements, governing regulations, audit, and compliance requirements specific to child development centers in California.
· Demonstrated knowledge of the various stages of child growth and development.
· Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and supervise the work of others.
· Knowledge of computer software and hardware.
· Fundamentals of accounting, budgeting and fiscal reporting.
· Effective oral and written communication skills.
· Effective information and record management methods.

Pay Information:
Range 13 ($6,545.76-$10,928.39) per month based on the current Supervisory and Professional Employees’ Association – Salary Schedule A
Initial salary placement is commensurate with related experience and promotional rules. The District offers a comprehensive fringe benefit package including employer paid: medical, dental, and vision plans; sick and vacation leave; and opportunities for professional development. Initial Salary Placement, Promoted or transferred employees will be placed as specified in the SPAA – Supervisory & Professional Administrators Association Handbook. This position is FLSA Exempt and may not accrue overtime. A temporary probationary period will be applied to the employee entering this assignment.
