*** See job description for details*** MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: • Must have either: - a valid CA Single Subject Credential in Art with CLAD authorization or meet the requirements to apply for one though the CTC. - a valid CA Multiple Subject Credential with CLAD authorization • Must have two years of full-time teaching experience or student teaching (6 semester hours or 120 clock hours). • Desired Qualifications: - Undergraduate or Master’s degree in Visual or Media Arts - Leadership and participation in a variety of in-service education classes, demonstration lessons, and workshops. - A minimum of three years of classroom teaching experience in arts education (could be integrated arts in elementary). - Classroom teaching experience in two or more schools, preferably in different socio-economic areas. - Experience in meeting the needs of pupils with varying artistic abilities. - Experience in creating arts integrated lessons with ELA, Math, History, Science - Participation in curriculum writing and/or curriculum committees - Professional assignments such as department chairman, demonstration teacher, in-school or district resource teacher, or student teacher supervisor. - Professional skill and creative ability in one or more art fields. - Knowledge of current trends and techniques in the field of art gained through attendance at lectures and art shows, and study of professional publications. - Development of a broad background of general knowledge and an understanding of human relationships through activities such as travel, military service, classroom teaching in different subject areas or grade level, or work experience other than as a classroom teacher. - Interest and participation in one or more professional or community organizations.
