Range 14 ($3,945.94- $5,181.89) per month based on the current Classified salary schedule. New employees will begin on Step E ($3,945.94). Promoted or transferred employees will be placed as specified in the CBA. This position is FLSA Non-exempt (may accrue overtime). Excellent Benefits are provided to all Contract employees with assignments greater than, or equal to, 50% (0.50 FTE) and all eligible dependents. A temporary probationary period will apply to the employee entering this assignment. The Position
Applications are currently being accepted for Production Services Assistant in the Reprographics Department, located at Miramar College. Hours are Monday-Thursday 11:30 am - 8:00 pm and Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm. Selected candidate must be willing to adjust work days/hours based on the department's needs.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience operating a variety of office machines and equipment; including computer hardware and software and high production copiers.
  • Experience in a high volume call center or switchboard telephone operations.
  • Ability to perform clerical reports with accuracy, speed and initiative.
  • Ability to spell correctly and use good grammar and punctuation.
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and OneDrive) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong attendance and work schedule flexibility desired.


    Foreign Degree:
    Applicants with foreign degrees from colleges or universities outside of the United States must have their coursework evaluated by a professional association that is a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) or Academic Credentials Evaluation Institute, INC.(ACEI). A copy of the evaluation must be submitted with your on-line application.

    All potential employees are required to be up-to-date on COVID-19 vaccination, which includes booster doses, or have an approved exemption from the requirement to be vaccinated and/or receive a booster dose based on a medical condition or religious belief, in accordance with federal and state law. Potential employees who do not have an approved exemption must be fully vaccinated and up-to-date on their COVID-19 vaccination to comply with District policy. Potential employees who are fully vaccinated prior to February 1, 2022, must receive a booster dose when eligible.

    Tentative Timeline (Subject to Amendments)

    Conditions of Employment:SELECTED CANDIDATE IS REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT:

  • Submit “official” college transcripts as stated on application (even if a degree is not a requirement for this position);
  • Pass a pre-employment physical exam, including drug screening, at the District's expense;
  • Provide a Certificate of Tuberculosis Exam for initial appointment (Note: The certificate must be renewed every 4 years as a condition of continuing employment);
  • Provide a valid COVID-19 Vaccination card, including Booster, or Vaccination Exemption;
  • Have fingerprints taken by a Live Scan computer at the candidate's expense (Clearance must be received prior to first day of employment);
  • Present original documents for proof of eligibility to work in the United States as required by the I9 Employment Eligibility Verification form; AND
  • Attend a new hire processing appointment in Human Resources located at the District Administrative Offices.



    EMPLOYMENT AFTER RETIREMENT
    If you accept a contract (permanent) position with SDCCD and are a retired annuitant with CalPERS or CalSTRS, you must reinstate from your retirement system. Please reference the CalPERS or CalSTRS website for further information.
