Job Summary
Title: Riverside Preparatory High School Principal Reports To: Superintendent, Superintendent's Designee, Cabinet and Board. Classification: Certificated Management. Salary: Certificated Management Salary Schedule Work Year: 12 Months, 220 Work Days. Work Travel: Independently travel to various locations and off campus school sites for the purpose of school event supervision. Supervision: This position is responsible for campus/student supervision, school event supervision and the supervision of teachers and support staff assigned by the Superintendent, or Superintendent's Designee. Position Description: The High School Principal serves as the educational leader, responsible for implementing policies, regulations, and procedures to ensure that all students are supervised in a safe, supportive learning environment that meets the approved curricula and mission of the school and district. Achieving academic excellence requires that the High School Principal work collaboratively to direct and nurture all members of the school staff hired by the Board of Education and to communicate effectively with parents, colleagues and the community at large. Inherent in the position are the responsibilities for scheduling, curriculum development, extracurricular activities, personnel & financial management, emergency procedures, and facility operations. Education: Bachelors Degree and Masters degree or higher required from accredited college(s) or universities. Experience: Minimum 5 years of successful educational or teaching experience and at least 4 years of successful school administrative experience. Preferred public school educational experience, charter school education experience, alternative educational school experience and educational school administrative experience with concentration in administration, supervision, curriculum, finances and/or personnel management.
