Requirements / Qualifications

•Valid California Administrative Credential authorizing service as a secondary school assistant principal •Administrative and/or teaching/counseling experience at the high school level preferred •Experience with secondary school curriculum, student services, student support and site operations preferred

A completed on-line application, personal letter of application expressing reason for making application, resume, transcripts of all college and university work; three current letters of recommendation dated within the past year and an administrative credential.

The community is known for the Claremont Colleges and has a strong working relationship with these institutions. Currently, the District has over 7,000 students in its K-12 program and runs an extensive Adult School program. There are seven unique elementary schools, a school for the orthopedically handicapped, an intermediate school, a comprehensive high school, and a continuation school. All Claremont elementary schools are designated by the State of California as Distinguished Schools. Claremont High School is a National Blue Ribbon Award Winner and a California Distinguished School.
