Job Summary

The primary responsibilities of the Reading Intervention Teacher are to create and execute a rigorous intervention program for students struggling in literacy in grades TK-5. Must attend Intervention/Specialized training as required by the district. The Reading Intervention Teacher will collaborate closely with grade level teachers to plan and deliver targeted instruction to small groups of students in a pull-out setting and occassional push-in setting. Other responsibilities include: delivering high-quality, rigorous, and effective curriculum; planning, implementing, and reflecting upon all aspects of instruction in the assigned areas in order to realize the school’s mission, and developing in all student’s positive character habits centered around the school’s values. Requirements / Qualifications

Qualifications: • Valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential • Valid English Learner Authorization (CLAD) • Credential or Specialist training in literacy or reading recovery is beneficial • Ability to develop and implement an effective and flexible educational program which utilizes a wide variety of instructional methods and materials • Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation of student academic progress • Fingerprint and tuberculosis clearances as required by law For a full job description, please visit the Emery USD website at www.emeryusd.org
