Requirements / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a valid California Administrative Services Credential or enrolled in an Administrative Services Credential program and be eligible for a Certificate of Eligibility. Master’s degree is required. School District/County Office of Education Management experience required. Five years of special education/student support services experience in public school settings preferred.

Under the supervision of the Director of Special Education, the Special Education Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and implementation of school-based related services of students with disabilities and special education initiatives. Provides direction and assistance in the coordination, implementation and monitoring of legal compliance activities pertaining to students in special education. This responsibility may include supervision and evaluation of assigned certificated and classified staff.
