Description: Under the supervision of the Director of Maintenance & Facilities, the Grounds Keeper performs upkeep and maintenance of school grounds, athletic fields, watering systems, and landscaped areas.
General Duties:
1. Conducts routine grounds care including mowing, pruning, trimming, watering, fertilizing, spraying, and cleaning up.
2. Performs planting, propagating, transplanting, and other landscaping as directed.
3. Assists with the installation and maintenance of watering systems.
4. Assists with maintenance and care of grounds equipment.
5. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Basic knowledge of plant care and gardening related chemicals.
3. Must be able to lift 110 pounds occasionally, 40 pounds frequently, and 25 pounds constantly.
4. Must be able to pass WorkSTEPS Pre-Employment Physical.
