TLC Public Charter School is a model site for demonstration and innovation in inclusive education. TLC’s standards-based instructional program is hands-on and arts-enriched with an emphasis on kindness, care, and positive social development. TLC educates a diverse group of students and maintains school-wide systems and structures for teacher collaboration, co-planning, and teamwork. Ideal candidates will be creative, innovative, and committed to being a member of the team. Strong curriculum and lesson planning skills are essential. Preferred knowledge/experience: Universal Design for Learning (UDL), Differentiated Instruction (DI), ELD, Bilingual Spanish. Responsibilities: •Provide quality instruction consistent with the school mission and vision •Participate in common grade level planning to develop matched lesson plans that maintain continuity within each grade level •Partner with a special or general educator to implement a co-teaching model including co-planning, co-assessment and co-instruction •Evaluate classroom performance to meet the changing needs of students •Provide an effective classroom environment that reflects and facilitates the academic program •Continue to engage in professional development opportunities throughout the school year •Provide for open communication with all members of the school community •Adapt materials and modify curriculum to ensure equal access for all students Valid credential appropriate to teaching assignment required.
