The El Dorado County Office of Education's Charter Alternative Programs are looking for a collaborative and innovative Mental Health Associate Intern to work with our teams to serve under-served and high-needs students in the K-12 setting, supervised by a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, as part of our Wellness Team. Charter Alternative Programs provide various alternative educational options for students including small, nurturing classroom environments, independent study, or hybrid programs. Together, our learning teams create safe and productive classrooms that foster student success through 21st-century hands-on learning and social-emotional development. ** This is a one (1) year internship position **
Requirements / Qualifications
Education: • Master’s degree in a qualifying field to meet requirements from the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) in California • Registered Associate with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences in one of the behavioral sciences. - Associate Clinical Social Workers (ASW) - Associate Professional Clinical Counselors (APCC) - Associate Marriage and Family Therapists (AMFT) Experience: • Relevant mental health experience with children and adolescents as a Therapist Trainee or Associate. • Experience working with school systems is preferred.
