Our independent study credentialed teachers work cooperatively with parent educators to develop individualized student learning plans. Our teachers prioritize optimal teaching methods and standards-aligned curriculum in coordination with the parent educators. Additionally, our teachers support students who require assistance in early literacy and mathematics through small group instruction in a virtual environment.

Seeking qualified candidates for the 23/24 School Year! This IST/Homeschool teaching position with Pacific Charter Institute's Valley View Charter Prep will support students k-12th grade and is a hybrid position- remote and in person. Living in or near the Bay Area is required. This position will hold a caseload of 28 students and travel is required. Candidates must also demonstrate flexibility, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative spirit and be able to deliver differentiated instruction to a diverse group of students. This is a CalSTRS position.
Requirements / Qualifications
Possess and maintain valid California Teaching Credential for level of instruction English Learner authorization Experience and knowledge of the Common Core standards and standards based curriculum, behavior management techniques, record keeping, student assessment, planning for individual student learning needs, and child development

Pacific Charter Institute offers a unique instructional model serving homeschool and independent study students across 16 counties through Heritage Peak Charter School, Rio Valley Charter School, Valley View Charter Prep, Sutter Peak Charter Academy, and New Pacific School.
PCI offers full time employees a generous benefit package, including medical, dental, and vision and STRS for certificated staff. A 401k plan is available for ALL STAFF (including part-time) with an employer contribution.
