UCLA Lab School seeks passionate and dedicated teachers who can inspire and nurture a love of learning through inquiry and project-based learning. UCLA Lab School is an inclusive school where diversity and equity drive our mission and vision. We are currently seeking dual language, Spanish/English demonstration teachers for our inquiry based educational program for children ages 4-12 (the equivalent of PreKindergarten through grade 6). Teachers at the UCLA Lab School are considered demonstration teachers, where they are expected to collaborate, engage in research and share their practice with others by participating in public engagement. Part of the UCLA School of Education & Information Studies, UCLA Lab School has established a reputation for innovative practice over its 140+ year history and provides a stimulating and supportive working environment for teachers. Selected candidates will be invited for an interview, and may be asked to conduct a demonstration lesson. Applications will be accepted until all positions are filled. Requirements / Qualifications
Teaching Credential 5 plus years of teaching experience with a least 2 of the 5 in a dual-language program (preferred) Masters (Preferred) BCLAD in Spanish (Preferred) Experience with inclusion (Preferred) Experience teaching in an immersion program (Preferred) Experience with Cognitive Guided Instruction (Preferred) Experience with Reader's and Writer's Workshop (Preferred) Experience with an inquiry approach (Preferred) Special Education teaching credential (Preferred) Resume Cover Letter Statement on Contributions to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion An EDI Statement describes a faculty candidate’s past, present, and future (planned) contributions to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
