These positions will provide custodial services to various SDCOE work sites as assigned. <p></p> Under general supervision, the Custodian maintains assigned buildings and adjacent grounds areas in a clean, orderly, and safe condition. This position assists in moving and arranging furniture, does room and stage set-ups, sweeps, scrubs, shampoos, and vacuums carpets and floors, as well as maintains equipment and material used in work and mixes and uses cleaning chemicals according to directions and appropriate safety standards.</p> <p>These positions are full-time, one on the day shift and one on the evening shift. The evening shift position will offer an additional 5% shift differential. Both positions will offer the classified benefits package, which includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage, and will participate in the CalPERS state retirement system. </p>

Requirements / Qualifications

This position requires a combination of education, training and experience which clearly demonstrates possession of the knowledge and abilities detailed in the attached job description. A typical qualifying background would include six (6) months of experience performing general custodial work, OR completion of formal custodial training.
