Job Summary
With supervision by the administrator for student support services, or other superintendent designee, the district school nurse provides services, education, leadership and information related to health. This position is located in Bakersfield, CA.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education: • Bachelor’s Degree, including courses required to meet school nurse certification; • Public Health Nursing Certificate; • Valid California School Nurse Services Credential. Certification: • Registered Nurse, • Public Health Nurse Certificate, • Health Services Credential, • Pediatric First Aid Trainer Certificate. Must possess a valid driver’s license and personal car for use on district business. Fingerprint clearance by both the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the California Department of Justice as well as a physical clearance are conditions of appointment after all other required job conditions have been met.
