Job Summary
Job Summary
Peninsula Bridge is seeking experienced, passionate educators for our After School Academy at various sites across the peninsula. (September 2023 - May 2024) Peninsula Bridge empowers motivated, underrepresented students to achieve college and career success through individualized support and transformational educational opportunities. Our 13-year holistic program model provides academic and personal support for students from 4th grade through college graduation. Our After-school academy serves our youngest students in a two-day a week academic enrichment program. After-school Academy Teachers will teach a class of 12-18 students using the Peninsula Bridge curriculum. The lessons integrate academic content (ELA, Math and STEM), social emotional learning (SEL) and executive functioning skills to promote grade-appropriate academic readiness. Classes meet two times per week in the academic year (September-May) during after school hours. No curricula design or lesson planning is required. Teachers are responsible for being well prepared to bring the lesson plans to life and adapt them to meet the needs of our students. In addition to teaching, there are monthly site meetings, 2-3 training sessions outside of the regularly scheduled program time, and monthly lesson observations.
