Job Summary
Job Summary
The Director, Career Education coordinates with district, school, community college, and industry partners to plan, organize, implement, and improve Career Technical Education (CTE) within the county which increases student educational and economic equity. This position will focus on increasing CTE pathways and partnerships, post-secondary education and work-based learning opportunities, including internships, apprenticeships, dual-enrollment in CTE programs, career preparation and career training that build student agency and workforce readiness with a focus on historically underserved students. The Director is responsible to lead the resources of the team including supervising assigned staff and managing related budgets and grants. Requirements / Qualifications
Education & Experience: Valid CA Teaching Commission credential required CA Administrative Credential or willingness to enroll in a credential program Minimum of (5) years of educational or related experience at a county or district office or other organization leading successful programming A minimum of three (3) years of experience supporting the interpretation and implementation of Career Education in schools (examples include CTE pathways, work based-learning, linked learning, dual enrollment) Proven track record of delivering effective professional learning and presentations Proven track record of addressing opportunity and achievement gaps Bachelor’s degree required Valid California driver’s license, reliable transportation Read Job Description for a complete list of job requirements and experience required
