Job Summary

Position Summary KIPP Northern California Public Schools is seeking an experienced Mental Health Clinician to support students receiving Educationally Related Mental Health Services (ERMHS) in a counseling-enriched setting on a public school campus. Students may be receiving Level III ERMHS, which includes daily intensive therapeutic services, as well as Level II ERMHS, which is typically weekly individual counseling. The Mental Health Clinician will work closely with the school team to meet the needs of students whose emotional regulation challenges impede their participation in the general education setting. The ideal candidate cares deeply about children and adolescents, especially those who have experienced a significant trauma in their lives. Reporting to the school leader & receiving coaching from the clinical supervisor, the Mental Health Clinician will provide psychotherapeutic interventions, behavioral supports, and mental health treatment services including counseling, consultation, treatment and case management for students receiving ERMHS.

Requirements / Qualifications

Education: Master’s Degree (or higher) in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field. Clinical licensure in the State of California (MFT, LCSW, LPCC, Licensed Psychologist) as dictated by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences or the Board of Psychology. Applicants MUST have at minimum an associate-level registration with the BBS that is current and in good standing. Knowledge/skills required: Familiarity with special education, IEP team participation, and educationally related mental health services and the delivery of such services, highly preferred. Strong commitment to the philosophy, goals, and mission of KIPP Northern California Public Schools and to providing community-based, culturally responsive, and client-centered mental health treatment and Unquestioned integrity and commitment to KIPP Northern California Public Schools’ mission and values, including KIPP NorCal’s commitment to anti-racism
