Gateway Middle School, an innovative public charter school in San Francisco, is seeking a Dean of Students. Gateway Middle School is committed to helping each student – regardless of learning style or previous academic achievement – learn the skills, habits and knowledge necessary for success in college and beyond. Position Overview The Dean of Students will work closely with other school leaders, staff, and student leaders to create a safe, supportive, and structured school community. The Dean of Students is charged with overseeing and developing an inclusive student culture centered on mutual respect and restorative practices, student discipline, staff supervision, and training staff around restorative practices. This is an 11-month position that begins immediately or in July 2023 (or sooner, depending on on-boarding needs). Please see the attached job description for Major Duties and Responsibilities.
